July 4th Celebrations and Fireworks
This year’s Inner Harbor July 4th festivities will begin at 6 pm, a live band performance from Avenue 66 along the Waterfront Promenade at 7 pm and the fireworks will begin at 9 pm. There will be a drone show at 9:30 pm at Middle Branch Park. Neighbors, grab a blanket or some chairs and we’ll see you at Canton Waterfront Park for the fireworks! DETAILS

Since you’ll be able to see an awesome display over Canton, please leave the fireworks to the professionals. Consumer use of fireworks is illegal in Baltimore City. And, it scares animals, can trigger PTSD, could cause a fire, and lots of other not-so-great stuff. So, please be a responsible and thoughtful neighbor, and DON’T set off fireworks in the city!

Dypski Park Update Summer 2026
Baltimore City Recreation and Parks has initiated the process to attain an engineering design proposal to install permanent electrical service at Dypski Park. This improvement will allow for a functioning water feature and provide outlets that can be used for community events. Because the installation process is expected to take at least one year, the water feature will not be operational during the 2026 season. The decorative fountain and electrical outlets are currently connected to a BGE temporary electric service but this contractual service expired in 2024. We know the community is excited to have permanent electrical service in 2027, and it will be a great addition once it’s up and running again.

Dypski Park, at 1213 S. Ellwood Ave., features a beautifully renovated playground with modern play equipment, rubber safety surfacing, shade structures, and plenty of space for kids to play. Neighbors interested in reserving Dypski Park for a kid’s party or other special event should contact BCRP Permits and Special Events at 410-396-7070 or email park.permits@baltimorecity.gov. The office is open Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and closed on Thursdays. For further details on obtaining a permit, click here.
