4th of July Celebration

The Mid-Atlantic’s biggest Fourth of July celebration returns to the Inner Harbor! Baltimore’s Fourth of July Celebration presented by Ports America Chesapeake takes place Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in the heart of downtown Baltimore at the Inner Harbor, featuring live music and celebratory fireworks. The fireworks can be viewed from several locations downtown and in surrounding areas, including Federal Hill, Locust Point, Fell’s Point, and Harbor East. If you don’t have a rooftop deck, the best place to view them from our neighborhood is Canton Waterfront Park! Grab a chair or blanket and some friends and head down the park about 8 pm to grab a spot!

Canton Canopy Tree Planting

Canton Canopy is a volunteer group, operating under the CCA, working toward a sustainable, healthy tree canopy in Canton!

Canton Canopy will be planting mulching, staking, and watering 20 trees along Hudson Street on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 am at 2801 Hudson Street outside Mercy Medical Center. Coffee and snacks provided. So come start your Sunday right, planting trees and meeting your neighbors! Afterward, participants are invited to head to Hudson Street Stackhouse, 2626 Hudson Street, for drinks and food.

Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race

Hosted by the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM), the Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race is an annual race of wacky, imaginative, totally human-powered amphibious sculptures. Celebrating its 20th year, the theme of the  2018 Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race will be Mysteries & Tall Tales.

Racers begin at the AVAM, race across the Harbor and come ashore at the Canton Waterfront Park around 11 am.

Healthy Harbor Bike Tour

Canton Memories featuring Barbara Mikulski and Antonia Keane

Join the Annual Friends of the Canton Library Canton Memories event, featuring Retired Senator Barbara Mikulski and Antonia Keane, retired Loyola University Sociology Professor and expert on grassroots women activists. Jayne Miller, WBAL's Emmy Award-winning reporter will moderate a discussion of the impact and influence of women on Southeast Baltimore's grassroots efforts then and now. We are honored to have these two amazing women share their experiences with us. 

The meeting will be held on Saturday, February 27th at 2pm at the Dnipro Ukranian Club, 3101 O'Donnell Street. Thank you to the Dnipro Ukranian Club for your support!

  • 3200 Fait Avenue (NE corner of East) - An application to BMZA to approve maintenance of 3 dwelling units on property. Property had been authorized to maintain two dwelling units and a grocery store in 1975, and at some point before 2010 the grocery store was converted to a dwelling unit.
