DPW Recycling Locations
/Recycling pickup is temporarily suspended in Baltimore through November 1, 2020. During this time, DPW will provide 14 locations across the city where residents will be able to dispose of recycling Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The closest location to Canton is the DPW Marine Operations Facility located at 3311 Eastbourne Avenue off Clinton Street south of Boston Street.
Residents can bring their recyclables to any of these locations. (See map.) Neighbors are encouraged to reach out to their CCA Block Captains to coordinate drop-offs. Don’t know if your block has a captain? Email info@cantoncommunity.org.

District 8: Westside Skills Center, 4501 Edmondson Avenue
District 9: DPW Meter Shop Facility, 200 N. Franklintown Road
District 10: DPW Westside Yard, 701 Reedbird Avenue (extended hours; see below)
District 11: Digital Harbor High School, 1100 Covington
District 12: Dunbar High School, 601 Central Avenue
District 13: DPW Property Maintenance Facility, 1825 Edison Highway
District 14: Mergenthaler Vocational High School, 3500 Hillen Road
Mondays through Saturdays residents can still access all of our full Citizen Convenience Centers from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. These locations are as follows: Northwest Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street; DPW Eastside Yard, 6101 Bowleys Lane; DPW Westside Yard, 701 Reedbird.
Mondays through Saturdays residents may also choose to use the Quarantine Road Landfill drop-off center (6100 Quarantine Road) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or the Northwest Transfer Station (5030 Reisterstown Road) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
IMPORTANT: Recycling should be in PAPER bags, cardboard boxes or open containers that can be emptied on-site. Residents who bring items in plastic bags will be directed to open the bag, dump the contents, then put the used plastic bag in a separate specific receptacle.
