#SocialTheSquare Part II: Shop O’Donnell Street

Last month we introduced Project #SocialTheSquare and discussed Step One, how we can responsibly dine in the extended outdoor spaces around O’Donnell Square Park. This month we’re focusing on Step Two, supporting our retail and service businesses. From gift buying to dog grooming, dry cleaning to dentistry, pedicures to piercings, haircuts to home rentals, and more… we’ve got you covered.

Step Two of Project #SocialTheSquare encourages neighbors to patronize the retail and service businesses that are at the core of our community. Please don’t allow the restricted parking and partial closure on O’Donnell Street to be a deterrent. The shops are easily accessible on foot or via parking on a nearby side street.

Also, many merchants, like 2019 on the Square and Best Day Ever, have a designated, permitted customer parking spot in front of their stores. In addition, if you shop online or call in an order, there are designated parking spots on the East and West ends of The Square to be used for pick up and delivery only.

It’s so important we shop local and support our small businesses. So, when you’re dining outside, picking up carryout, walking your dog or just passing by, stop by one of the retail stores and buy a little something for your family, a friend, a neighbor, or even yourself.  And, check out this extended list so you can make sure to patronize the service businesses, too. I mean who doesn’t want a massage after a teeth cleaning or new nails and a bottle of bubbly?
