I Wonder Garden Update Summer 2026

The I Wonder Garden, a volunteer-run space fostering native plants, pollinator habitat, and a community garden, continues to grow thanks to the dedication of new and returning volunteers. Amanda Bourgeois, CCA President, and Co-Marketing Chair Julie M. Kichline recently joined volunteers for a community dinner in the garden, where updates on this summer’s progress were shared by Elizabeth Hodges, Virginia Trial, and Stephen Washington.

Recent efforts include lining pathways with fabric and mulch, planting community rental plots, installing mosquito dunk containers, a refresh to the compost zone, and completing general site cleanups. The team is also developing new signage to help guide proper use of the space. Please note: this is not a dog park. When using the front-facing area, dogs must remain leashed per Baltimore City regulations, and owners are asked to clean up after them. Please do NOT leave poop bags on site!!
