Dock ‘N Donate at Lighthouse Point Marina!
Lighthouse Point Marina is teaming up with Soup for the Soul, a local Dundalk-based charity, to help fight food insecurity in our community from July 19–31, 2025.

  • A portion of all transient dockage fees during this time will be donated to the organization.

  • Canned goods are also being collected—drop them off at the marina office and help fill the pantry shelves!

  • Drop off at the marina office at 2780 Lighthouse Point E, Baltimore, MD 21224

Bring your crew, tell your neighbors, and let’s make some waves for a great cause!

To keep sanitation crews safe during the summer heat, DPW trash and recycling collections are starting an hour earlier at 5:00 am. Please set bins out by 5:00 am or the night before. Collection days remain the same and be prepared for early truck noise. DPW appreciates your patience as they prioritize worker safety. For more info, call 311 or visit publicworks.baltimorecity.gov.

Canton Middle School Site Update
Baltimore City Public Schools, in partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, is pleased to announce the upcoming release of a Call for Proposals (CFP) for the old Canton Middle School Building, located at 801 S. Highland Ave. They are seeking proposals from qualified organizations, developers, and community partners who are interested in reimagining the use of this property in a way that benefits both the surrounding neighborhood and the broader Baltimore community. The full CFP will be available at https://www.cushmanwakefield.com/en. The deadline for submission is September 22, 2025.

Dypski Park Update
Good news, neighbors! Baltimore City Rec & Parks (BCRP) has replaced the broken tire swing and repaired the swingset at Dypski Park, 1213 S. Ellwood Ave., so families can continue to enjoy some safe, outdoor fun in the park. We’re sorry to share that, due to an ongoing electrical issue, the water feature will remain out of service for the rest of the summer. We know this is a disappointment and appreciate your patience as the City works toward a permanent fix. Thanks for continuing to care for and enjoy our neighborhood play space. Wishing everyone a safe and happy rest of the summer!

Sidewalk, Tree Pits and Gutters
Neighbors, please be neighborly and keep your sidewalks and tree pits weeded. Also, keep an eye out for debris in the street gutters so water can properly flow to the storm drains. Also, since rainfall is down this summer, please show the trees some love and give them some water during hotter weeks. Thanks!

Reporting and Preventing Crime – Tip Line
The Baltimore City Police Department asks neighbors to report crimes via this TIP email: SEDtips@baltimorepolice.org. Security camera footage and photos should be included.
