Neighborhood Notes: July 2025

July 4th Celebrations and Fireworks
This year’s Inner Harbor July 4th festivities will begin at 6 pm, a live band performance from Avenue 66 along the Waterfront Promenade at 7 pm and the fireworks will begin at 9 pm. There will be a drone show at 9:30 pm at Middle Branch Park. Neighbors, grab a blanket or some chairs and we’ll see you at Canton Waterfront Park for the fireworks! DETAILS

Since you’ll be able to see an awesome display over Canton, please leave the fireworks to the professionals. Consumer use of fireworks is illegal in Baltimore City. And, it scares animals, can trigger PTSD, could cause a fire, and lots of other not-so-great stuff. So, please be a responsible and thoughtful neighbor, and DON’T set off fireworks in the city!

Christmas in July at Lighthouse Point
Stop by Lighthouse Point Marina on Saturday, July 19 from 1-5 pm for a festive Christmas in July celebration! As part of the event, they’re hosting a Canned Food Drive to benefit Soup for the Soul, plus donating a portion of transient slip fees that weekend to support their mission. The marina is located at 2780 Lighthouse Point E and will be collecting items from local businesses and residents, July 14-20. Donations of canned goods and nonperishables can be dropped off at the marina office 7 days a week between 9 am-5 pm. Let’s spread some summer cheer and help fight hunger in our community!
