Earth Day & I Wonder Community CleanUps
/This April, community members rolled up their sleeves and showed their love for Canton through two volunteer-powered clean-up events.
Earth Day Clean-Up at O’Donnell Square Park
A big thank you to everyone who joined the CCA Parks Committee for our annual Earth Day Clean-Up at O’Donnell Square Park! We loved seeing familiar faces and meeting new neighbors. Special shout-out to new volunteers Arielle, Natalie, Susan, Evan, Emily, Brendan, and Tatum for diving in and making a difference.
Want to keep the momentum going? The Parks Committee hosts monthly clean-ups around the neighborhood. To get involved, email hofftheprof@gmail.com and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for upcoming dates.
Spring Spruce-Up at the I Wonder Garden
A true hidden gem, the I Wonder Garden is a community-run green space that features native perennial landscaping and rentable garden plots. Each spring plot holders come together to weed, mulch, and tidy the garden in preparation for the growing season.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered during this year’s spring clean-up! The mulch was donated by Camp Small, a wood waste collection yard run by the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks. To learn more, visit www.treebaltimore.org/programs/camp-small.
Garden plots are nearly sold out for 2025! If you'd like to rent a plot or join the volunteer crew, email info@CantonCommunity.com.
Thank you to all our dedicated volunteers who continue to make Canton cleaner, greener, and more connected—one clean-up at a time!
