WTMD First Thursday VIP Ticket Giveaway
WTMD continues another season of free concerts at Canton Waterfront Park on Thursday, August 3 at 5:30 p.m. and we’re giving two lucky CCA members a pair of VIP tickets to the show! Canton Dog Park Community Meeting
Join Jayne Miller, CCA Board Member and Friends of Canton Dog Park Chair, on Tuesday, August 1 at 9:00 am for a community meeting at the Canton Dog Park to hear an update about the developing "Lake" remediation plan. We will also discuss parkgoers' concerns and ways to safely navigate both sides of the park during this process. We value your feedback and thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to save this valuable community resource.

Tuesday Farm Stand Photo
Stoecker Farms Produce is popping up for the Summer on Tuesday mornings from (approx.) 9:30 am-noon in front of the Hatton Senior Center at the corner of Linwood & Fait. Look for seasonal fruits and veggies including corn, tomatoes, zucchini, beets, and more.

Free Wellness Classes
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (at 1501 South Clinton Street in Canton) has free Abs, Core & More on Wednesdays from 12-12:30. The instructor is amazing, and you don’t need CareFirst insurance to participate. Classes and parking are free. Some yoga mats are provided but you are free to bring your own. Other free wellness classes offered at the CareFirst Engagement Center include Nutrition 101, Decoding Diabetes,  Healthy Food & Body, Caregiver Support, Boost Your Mental Muscle, and Managing Stress.

Pratt Library Free Downloads & Streaming Media 
Did you know you can watch free movies and listen to audiobooks via your Enoch Pratt Library card? That’s right you can use your Pratt Library card to find eBooks, eMagazines, audiobooks, movies, and more for your PC, smartphone, tablet, or other compatible devices. Accessible in all Pratt Library locations or from home with your library card.

Third Saturdays Canton CleanUP
We’re happy to share Kurt Hoffman will be leading a community cleanup every third Saturday through October. If you have an hour or two to volunteer, we’d love your help. Meet at Professor Trash Wheel at 10 am to walk and pick up trash. Or choose to start at O’Donnell Square Park to weed and clean up general debris. Some tools will be provided including grabbers, gloves, rakes, trash bags, and shovels. See you this month on August 19 at 10:00 a.m. For details, email info@CantonCommunity.org.

Buy-A-Brick Program in support of the Canton Dog Park!
The CCA Buy-A-Brick Program is excited to announce that bricks are now available at the Friends of Canton Dog Park as well as at O'Donnell Square Park! Purchase a commemorative brick for $100 to be installed at the park of your choice and/or a replica brick with felt backing for $35. This is a unique way to pay tribute to your love of the community, recognize a special date, or businesses, or memorialize loved ones, including the furry ones. Purchase here.

Canton Anti-Racism Alliance
The Canton Anti-Racism Alliance is dedicated to affecting long-term, impactful changes in our neighborhood to foster a more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and welcoming community. The Alliance meets quarterly on the 4th Tuesday of the month via Zoom. The next meeting is on August 28 at 6:30 pm. To join, email president@cantoncommunity.org for details. Everyone is welcome!

Exchange Club Charity Golf Tournament
The Exchange Club of Highlandtown-Canton is hosting their annual fundraiser the 22nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, October 2. Register to play or have your business/organization sign on as a sponsor.

The Exchange Club is a nonprofit community service organization that supports SE Baltimore. Service includes an annual toy drive in conjunction with BPD, a scholarship program, and providing holiday meals to area families in need. They also partner with and donate to charities supporting our local police officers and firefighters. The CCA partners with them for the Canton Day of Giving every December. Hatton Senior Center
Baltimore is home to 13 senior centers which offer different programs and services for older adults. In Canton, the Hatton Senior Senior Center, located at 2825 Fait Ave., is open Monday-Thursday 9:00 am-3:30 pm. Neighbors 55+ can take part in fitness and wellness programs, dining services, and lifelong learning classes. Seniors 60+ are eligible for the “Eating Together Meal” Monday, Tuesday & Thursday at 11:30 am for $2. Advance registration is required. Sidewalk, Tree Pits and Gutters
Neighbors, please be neighborly and keep your sidewalks and tree pits weeded. Also, keep an eye out for debris in the street gutters so water can properly flow to the storm drains. Also, since rainfall is down this summer, please show the trees some love and give them some water during hotter weeks. Thanks! 

Reporting and Preventing Crime – Tip Line
The Baltimore City Police Department asks neighbors to report crimes via this TIP email: SEDtips@baltimorepolice.org. Security camera footage and photos should be included.
