To help public safety initiatives, the CCA has launched a pilot project placing security cameras at multiple locations across our neighborhood. As of Spring 2024 the cameras are located below with plans to establish additional cameras with new grant funding.

Important Information

  • Note: In order to have the footage reviewed, you must have already reported the incident to the proper authorities and/or insurance companies.  Provide the case report number, officer badge number/contact information and/or claim number in description of incident.

  • The cameras and the video footage are owned by CCA and hosted by private businesses under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

  • The cameras are not monitored in real-time by CCA, Police or other third parties. There is no surveillance. Law enforcement can obtain video footage from the CCA or private business.

  • There is a mix of camera systems including 360 and fixed focus cameras.

Obtaining Video Footage

  • If you are a victim of a crime and have reported that crime to the Baltimore Police Department, investigating officers can obtain video footage from CCA. Video footage of criminal activity will not be released directly to the public.

  • If you are involved in a road traffic accident and would like to request video footage for insurance purposes, you can obtain footage from the CCA.

  • To obtain footage, please complete this Footage Request Form

Authorized CCA members will review the footage, document the review and email a copy if the incident has been captured by one of our cameras.

The project is supported by a Maryland Department of Housing Neighborhood Safety state funding grant. The scope of the grant was to focus on business districts.  Locations were chosen based on crime data. Additional grant funding is being sought to expand the public safety camera project to more locations throughout the neighborhood.
