Baltimore City Police SE District New Command

Baltimore City Police Department welcomes a new command to their Southeastern District. Meet the new officers.

Major Alberto L. Colón, the new District Commander of the Southeastern District, has been a member of the Baltimore Police Department for more than 17 years. He is a native of Puerto Rico where he worked in the State Police for 10 years. He left Puerto Rico after being recruited by BPD in 2006. He was most recently assigned as the Captain of the Central District. He was previously the Captain of the Robbery Homicide Section, a Lieutenant in the Special Investigations Section, the Shift Commander in Central District, the Sergeant in charge of the Mayor’s Executive Protection Unit, also assigned to the Northern District Patrol and ND Detective Unit. He holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree in public management from the University of Maryland.

Captain Albert DellaRocco has been appointed as Executive Officer of the Southeastern District. Captain DellaRocco joined the BPD in 1999. He most recently served as Rangemaster in the Education & Training Firearms Unit. He has also served as a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team leader and Sergeant.
