Volunteers of the Year

Every year the CCA recognizes a few of our awesome neighbors for their volunteerism and community work. This year the award goes to… The Friends of Canton Dog Park Volunteers! “Park Ranger” Tony Edmonds, Allie Lieske, and Jason Kerestes are the 2023 honorees. Thank you for your outstanding, impactful work at the Canton Dog Park and for your continuing commitment to our community. We appreciate you!

Tony has been overseeing the park for years. From picking up you-know-what every morning to using his own funds to purchase supplies toward general upkeep to leading “Dig Day”, he’s been our go-to guy. Thank you!

Allie came on board during the pandemic and has been super helpful in rallying neighbors to join the Friends of Canton Dog Park Committee and reigniting community interest in the park. She took on the project to clean up the old bulletin board to help foster communication with the community and she’s on the team to help plan a “Pawty at the Park” fundraiser this summer. Thank you!

Jason can be found at the park almost daily with his sidekick Allie B. Whether it’s raking or painting or inventing, he’s always doing some form of physical work or project to help with the maintenance of the park. The shed looks fantastic, and we really love his spritzer hose invention… and so do the pups! Thank you!

If you’re interested in helping the Friends of Canton Dog Park, here are 2 ways: volunteer with the CCA, sign up online, or donate here.
