Music on the Square Concert Series returns with Across the Harbor

Music on the Square Concert Series is excited to announce its return after a 2-year hiatus! The first concert of 2022 features Across The Harbor on Friday, February 11 at 7:30 pm.

Across The Harbor is a musical confluence that melds Baltimore’s singer-songwriters with instrumentalists rooted in the Bluegrass, Irish & Old-Time traditions. Brand new collaborations and reimagined songs will celebrate both the jovial and lamenting sounds found in the rowhouses, sidewalks corners, concert stages, and local sessions of Baltimore. Across The Harbor will transport you through time and space as the themes of “home” and “belonging” are explored.

Hear the music of The Honey Dewdrops, Letitia VanSant, & Caleb Stine, each with a unique twist. The list of traditionally rooted instrumentalists also includes David McKindley-Ward, Alex Lacquement, Patrick McAvinue, Laura Bryne, Brad Kolodner, Jim Eagan, Sam Guthridge, Jonathan Vocke, Matt Mulqueen, Sean McComiskey, Jocelyn Haversat, and EJ Shaull-Thompson.

April 8: Letitia VanSant - Her gentle singsong might strike you as sweet, but listen a little closer, and you’ll realize she is spitting fire. Baltimore songwriter and winner of the 2017 Kerrville Festival.

May 13: Brooks Long - Brooks is a songster, a soulful, energetic yet soothing human jukebox. His collection of songs is as deep as his thoughts and views on life. Come hear Brooks live in concert and be transported by his songs and stories.
