Beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale in the Square during the concerts, along with local restaurants selling their food in cafes set up in the street.

The agenda for this meeting consists of the following:

  • 3506 Fleet Street - The owner of this property, which is presently a vacant lot, plans to develop it with two new construction townhomes with garages entered from the alley at the rear. This project will require subdivision approval by the Planning Commission and variances from lot coverage and rear setback requirements. This process is being handled for the owner by Nate Pretl of AB Associates.

      • 2435 Eastern Avenue (next door to B’More Licks at 2437 Eastern Avenue) - Application to expand existing non-conforming (Neighborhood Commercial) use (ice cream parlor) to 1st floor of abutting building at 2435 Eastern Avenue.

4th of July Celebration

The Mid-Atlantic’s biggest Fourth of July celebration returns to the Inner Harbor! Baltimore’s Fourth of July Celebration presented by Ports America Chesapeake takes place Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in the heart of downtown Baltimore at the Inner Harbor, featuring live music and celebratory fireworks. The fireworks can be viewed from several locations downtown and in surrounding areas, including Federal Hill, Locust Point, Fell’s Point, and Harbor East. If you don’t have a rooftop deck, the best place to view them from our neighborhood is Canton Waterfront Park! Grab a chair or blanket and some friends and head down the park about 8 pm to grab a spot!

Canton Canopy Tree Planting

Canton Canopy is a volunteer group, operating under the CCA, working toward a sustainable, healthy tree canopy in Canton!

Canton Canopy will be planting mulching, staking, and watering 20 trees along Hudson Street on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 am at 2801 Hudson Street outside Mercy Medical Center. Coffee and snacks provided. So come start your Sunday right, planting trees and meeting your neighbors! Afterward, participants are invited to head to Hudson Street Stackhouse, 2626 Hudson Street, for drinks and food.

Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race

Hosted by the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM), the Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race is an annual race of wacky, imaginative, totally human-powered amphibious sculptures. Celebrating its 20th year, the theme of the  2018 Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race will be Mysteries & Tall Tales.

Racers begin at the AVAM, race across the Harbor and come ashore at the Canton Waterfront Park around 11 am.
