Friends of Canton Library
The Friends of the Canton Library is dedicated to supporting and promoting the restoration, preservation, and use of the historic Canton Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, the country's first branch library.
The Canton Branch is located at 1030 S. Ellwood Avenue. Hours and other branch information can be found at the Enoch Pratt Free Library web site.

Canton Library Restoration Update
The Canton Branch closed on Saturday, January 28, 2012 for its long awaited renovation and restoration. The project is anticipated to take approximately two years.
Join the Friends of the Canton Library!
Although the branch is now closed, the Friends will continue to meet on the first Monday of the month at the South East Anchor Library located at 3601 Eastern Avenue. Meetings are held at 6:30pm.
You can become a member of the Friends of the Canton Library by downloading a membership application form (click here for form) and mailing with a check as indicated. Your membership donation is tax deductible.
